Tennis falls 9-0 to Emmanuel

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Tornados Women's Tennis team (1-13) dropped their final non-conference bout of the season 9-0 to the Emmanuel Lions (7-9), Saturday in Brevard, N.C.

After dropping No. 3 doubles to open the afternoon, the Tornados No. 2 tandem of Audrey Cardwell (Denver, N.C.) and Carmen Boone (Hudson, N.C.) lost 8-0, while Kelsey Kushner (Tampa, Fla.) and Katie Hatter (Cedar Mountain, N.C.) battled strong at No. 1 doubles before falling 8-5.

In singles action, the Tornados best chance of winning a point came at No. 5 singles at Gabi Harness (East Flat Rock, N.C.) fell 6-3, 6-1, while singles No. 1 through No. 4 went down 6-0, 6-0.

Brevard is scheduled to return back to action tomorrow afternoon as they host the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears with doubles action set to get underway at 1 p.m.
