Carson-Newman blanks Brevard

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Women's Tennis team (1-17, 0-9 SAC) was shutout by Carson-Newman (7-7, 6-3 SAC) on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles earned a 9-0 victory.

Carson-Newman swept the doubles competition winning all three matches 8-0.

Kelsey Kushner (Tampa, Fla.) earned two game wins against Ali Harris at singles No.1, falling 6-1, 6-1. Katie Hatter (Cedar Mountain, N.C.) picked up a game win in set two against Jill Corsato at the No. 3 spot, falling 6-0, 6-1. Audrey Cardwell (Denver, N.C.) and Gabi Harness (East Flat Rock, N.C.) each earned a game win in set one in their singles matches. Both falling 6-1, 6-0 to their competitors.

Brevard will return back to action tomorrow, as they travel to conference rival Wingate University. The Tornados will hit the courts beginning at 1 p.m.
