Ladies Swept At Grambling On Tuesday

Grambling, La. – The Centenary volleyball team was swept 3-0 by the Grambling State University Tigers in a non-conference contest on Tuesday evening inside the Fredrick C. Hobdy Center.

The Ladies (0-4) and Tigers (1-3) were meeting for the second time this season after facing off in an exhibition match a week ago tonight on the same court with Grambling also earning a 3-0 sweep in that match.

Grambling took set one by a count of 25-11, won the second set 25-8, and closed out the sweep with a 25-12 win in set three.

Centenary finished with 29 digs, 12 kills, 11 assists, five aces, and three solo blocks while Grambling tallied 41 digs, 28 kills, 23 assists, 10 aces, and seven solo blocks.

The Ladies are off until they return to action when they travel to Jackson, Miss. for the Millsaps Invitational Sept. 13-14. Centenary will face the host Majors, LeTourneau University, and Huntingdon College in the event.
