Ladies Fall At Dallas In Four Sets On Sunday
The Centenary volleyball team fell in four sets to the University of Dallas Crusaders on Sunday afternoon in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match inside the Maher Athletic Center.
Irving, Texas – The Centenary volleyball team fell in four sets to the University of Dallas Crusaders on Sunday afternoon in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match inside the Maher Athletic Center.
The Ladies (0-10, 0-2 SCAC) took the first set by a score of 25-23 but the Crusaders (1-13, 1-1 SCAC) claimed the next three to win the match and notch their first overall and league win of the season. Centenary, still searching for its first win of the season, was swept in its conference opener by the McMurry University War Hawks on Saturday afternoon in Abilene, Texas.
The Crusaders edged the Ladies 25-23 in set two to even the match, then won set three 25-15 and closed out the win with a 25-19 score in set four. The Ladies finished the match with 49 digs, 30 kills, 20 assists, and three aces. The Crusaders tallied 67 digs, 58 kills, 44 assists, seven aces, and two solo blocks.

The Ladies will face the Austin College 'Roos (9-6, 2-0 SCAC) in their first conference match at home this season on Saturday at Noon in the Gold Dome.
