Volleyball Swept By Austin College At Home
The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the Austin College 'Roos in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Saturday afternoon at the Gold Dome.
Shreveport - The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the Austin College 'Roos in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Saturday afternoon at the Gold Dome.
The Ladies (1-11, 0-3 SCAC) were playing just their fifth home match of the season on Saturday against the 'Roos (10-6, 3-0 SCAC). Centenary, now 1-4 on its home court this season, lost the first set 25-4, set two by a count of 25-14, and the 'Roos closed out the sweep with a 25-18 win in set three as they extended their winning streak to five.
Centenary tallied 35 digs, 18 kills, 17 assists, two aces, and two solo blocks while Austin College recorded 53 digs, 44 kills, 43 assists, 1- aces, and one solo block. The Ladies' top offensive set was the third as they finished with a .132 attack percentage, finishing with 10 kills and five errors in 38 total attacks.

The Ladies remain at home for three conference matches next weekend as they will face Colorado College on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Noon and then the University of St. Thomas on Sunday for a doubleheader scheduled for Noon and 2:30 p.m.
