
Ladies Swept By Pirates On Friday
The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the Southwestern University Pirates in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match as part of a league crossover on Friday evening inside the Robertson Center.
Georgetown, Texas - The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the Southwestern University Pirates in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match as part of a league crossover on Friday evening inside the Robertson Center.
The Ladies (1-24, 0-14 SCAC) will finish their season on Saturday against the Trinity University Tigers at 2 p.m. Southwestern improved to 19-5 overall and 9-3 in SCAC play as the Pirates upped their home record this season to 9-1.
Southwestern won the first set, 25-13, and then won set two by a score of 25-17 and closed out the sweep in set three, 25-16.
The Ladies finished with 35 digs, 20 kills, 19 assists, and two service aces. The Pirates tallied 47 digs, 45 kills, 41 assists, and eight aces.
