Volleyball Swept At Home By Colorado College
The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the Colorado College Tigers in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Saturday afternoon at the Gold Dome.
Shreveport - The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the Colorado College Tigers in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Saturday afternoon at the Gold Dome.
The Ladies (1-12, 0-4 SCAC) fell 25-10 in set one, 25-14 in set two, and lost the third and final set, 25-18. The Tigers improved to 8-6 overall and remained unbeaten in conference play at 4-0. Colorado College leads the all-time series with the Ladies 25-0 and are 8-0 against Centenary in the Gold Dome.
The SCAC divides its volleyball members into two divisions: Blue and Gold. Centenary and Colorado College each compete in the Blue Division with Austin College, the University of Dallas, McMurry University, and the University of St. Thomas. The Gold Division includes Concordia University, Schreiner University, Southwestern University, Texas Lutheran University and Trinity University.
The Ladies finished with 35 digs, 24 kills, 22 assists, and two aces while the Tigers tallied 53 digs, 45 kills, 40 assists, seven aces, and a pair of solo blocks.

Aces: Sophomore MB Reign McArthur (Midlothian, Texas) and sophomore LB/DS Yadneli Molina (Vinton, La.) – 1 each
Assists: Sophomore OH Alyssa Gatlin (Spring, Texas) – 11
Digs: Gatlin and Junior LB Daly Nagot (Benton, La.) – 9 each
Kills: Freshman OH Aaliyah Barnett (Dickinson, Texas) - 9
The Ladies wrap up their home weekend on Sunday with a doubleheader against the University of St. Thomas Celts scheduled for Noon and 2:30 p.m.
