Ladies Finish Season This Weekend With Two Matches
The Centenary volleyball team will finish its season this weekend with a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches in a league crossover hosted by Southwestern University beginning with a contest on Friday at 7 p.m. against the host Pirates inside the Robertson Center.

Georgetown, Texas - The Centenary volleyball team will finish its season this weekend with a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches in a league crossover hosted by Southwestern University beginning with a contest on Friday at 7 p.m. against the host Pirates inside the Robertson Center.

The Ladies (1-23, 0-13 SCAC) enter the match aiming to snap a 13-match losing streak and are 0-8 in road matches this season. The Pirates (18-5, 8-3 SCAC) are 8-1 at home this season.
Centenary nearly ended its losing streak at home on Sunday but eventually fell in a five-set heartbreaker to the University of Dallas in its annual Senior Day match inside the Gold Dome. The Ladies won the first set by a score of 25-21 and led 21-20 in set two, but the Crusaders went on a 5-0 run to finish the set and tie the match.
Centenary responded with a 25-18 win in set three but Dallas evened the match with a 25-17 win in set four. The Ladies held an 11-8 lead in set five and were just four points from clinching the match, but the Crusaders finished on a 7-0 run to claim the decisive fifth set and clinched the match.
The Ladies are averaging 7.36 kills per set, 6.66 assists/set, 1.09 blocks/set, 1.20 aces/set, and 13.43 digs/set. Centenary, hitting .032 % for the season, has 91 aces, 506 assists, 34 solo blocks, 1,021 digs, and 559 kills.
