Junior Liz Sander Provides the Next Edition of Gym Talk!

Hey there Ladies fans! This is junior Liz Sander bringing you this week's gym talk. Wow, it's crazy to think we are already almost at the end of September, which means we are only a few weeks away from the start of practice!!! However, being almost through September means your Ladies are in the full swing of things academically, and in-between open gyms, staying up on our conditioning - we're working just as hard in the classroom. So, if you can spare some time this week, think about your favorite Ladies and wish us luck on all of our upcoming tests, because we might need it. But anyhow, with less than three weeks until the start of practice, we've been working really hard during open gyms to be ready for our intra-squad the first weekend of practice. Shout out to the beam queens for starting to do base routines and hit full skill sets, and to the bars stars for putting first halves together! Everyone is looking so good on their events, and I cannot wait to see what this season has in store for us!

We finished off last week by testing our sand volleyball abilities (very terrible) and we were invited to have brunch at the home of Centenary Alum Shelley McMillian. We love Shelley, our time with her is a nice break from classes and practice and a great chance to relax and get filled with positive energy and affirmations, because we all know Shelley is the queen of affirming others! (P.S. if you're reading this, all sixteen of us are still ready to move in with you).

We are also really excited because we are about to have our first recruit weekend of the year! We can't wait to meet potential future Ladies and show them what Centenary gymnastics is all about. We're going to take them out to Coach Jackie's lake shack for dinner and lake time, so stay tuned for updates on the shenanigans that are bound to occur. That's all I have for you for now, but we hope you have a great week!

Thanks for keeping up with your favorite gymnasts!
