Junior Natalie Scates brings us the Next Installment of Gym Talk!

Hello Ladies fans, this is junior Natalie bringing you this week's gym talk!

Your Centenary Ladies are going strong with another week of open gyms under our belt. Some of your Ladies are already starting to put routines together and we are starting to really see how great this year is going to be. Some of our lovely Ladies even challenged each other to the task of full bar sets! Wow, in September! Shout out to all our freshman for their incredible bar releases! This week also brought us beautiful beam routines, powerful twisting vaults, and some sky-high tumbling.

Through these amazing feats in the gym, the Centenary Ladies are already cracking down on studying. Many of us had tests last week and are already excelling in the classroom. Think we can beat last semesters GPA? We are working hard for that to happen! Even with all these tests, us Ladies are staying focused on all important aspects of being a Centenary gymnast such as…RECRUITS!

Yup, it's that time of the year already and we can't wait to have more bright and shining faces grace our campus. This weekend we had two wonderful recruits visit us. One of these recruits was lucky enough to head out to the lake shack for dinner. The man, Dan, took us out on his boat and we got to ride on the tube (until some of your Ladies broke the tow bar, that is). Once we finished our aquatic escapades, we played an intense game of Giants, Wizards, and Elves and gorged on Coach Jackie's famous baked ziti. We left the lake shake to rest our eyes and stomachs for another exciting day of recruiting. Saturday brought another open gym and with it, another recruit. Our two recruits got to witness our ladies spring into action and reel in another great day in the gym.

With an intrasquad in a mere three weeks I can't wait to see how things are going to progress! Stay tuned for more updates and exciting news!

Until next time,

Natalie
