Gymnastics Finishes Fourth at Bridgeport Quad

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Ladies gymnastics team completed the 2018 regular season by finishing fourth of four teams with a 190.000 total at the Bridgeport Quad Meet Saturday night, March 17. Yale won the meet with a 194.650, followed by the hosts with a 194.275. Brown took third with a 192.600.

Sophomore Cami Bea Austin received the highest score of the night, matching a career best with a 9.800 on floor to finish sixth. Senior Ashley White matched a season best on vault with a 9.725 to finish third.

Junior Tavia Smith broke the 38 barrier in the all-around for the third time this season, receiving a 9.500 on vault, 9.650 on bars, 9.400 on beam, and a 9.550 on floor.

As a team, Centenary scored above 48 on beam (48.025) and floor (48.100). It is the sixth-consecutive meet that the Ladies finished above 48 on floor.

Maya Reimers from Bridgeport took the floor (9.925) and beam (9.875) titles, while Jacey Baldovino of Yale won on vault (9.800) and in the all-around (39.075). Kelli Tereshko of Bridgeport won on bars with a 9.850, a tenth higher than any other gymnast.

Centenary returns to action Friday night, March 23, for the Midwest Independent Conference Championships at Lindenwood. First rotation in St. Charles, Missouri, is set for 6 p.m.
