Centenary Ladies Gym Talk: Jan. 23 Edition

Hey Ladies Fans, it's junior Jerr with this week's gym talk.

The Ladies had a very exciting weekend at their first home meet of the season, in the dome.

We started the meet off with a strong vault line up, doing some of our best vaults. Shout out to Kendall Huff and Cami Bea for landing some amazing twisting vaults.

Bars was better this week, and we are still hoping to add in some upgrades, and you may even see some new faces in our line-ups soon!

We had to make some last-minute changes to our beam line-up during touch, and freshman Rose Deshler was phenomenal in the anchor position after getting put in at the last minute. This was a great learning experience for our great eight (the freshman). We have been telling them how these things can happen at the last minute, but until you live it you don't really realize how intense it is.

Floor showed improvement from last week, it is so much fun to perform in front of our fans in the Gold Dome! Sophomore Kendall Sanders (Baby Ken) showed up BIG with a great routine and adding a new D combination pass.

I love being able to see the hard work pay off when we bring everything we've got to the competition floor. We are headed in the right direction towards accomplishing our team's goals for this season.

I can see the Ladies coming in after meets with great determination to constantly make corrections and get better as the season goes on. I love to see my team fight for every skill, handstand, and dismount.  We hope you all will come support your Ladies this Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Gold Dome to see what we have in store for you.

Until next time!

Jerr
