Volleyball falls to ETBU on Road, 3-0

Marshall, Texas -- The Centenary volleyball team fell by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday evening to the host East Texas Baptist Tigers inside the Ornelas Gymnasium to fall to 1-4 overall on the young season. 

ETBU remained a perfect 5-0 on the season as tjhe two teams squared off for the second time in five days. The Ladies and ETBU met this past weekend in the Austin College Invite in Sherman, Texas, as the Tigers won the match by a score of 3-1. ETBU will come to Shreveport for a match on Sept. 24 at the Gold Dome for the third and final regular season meeting between the two. Sophomore setter Rachel Demerjian (Glendora, Calif.) recorded a double-double Wednesday with 13 digs and 14 assists. Teammate and fellow sophomore Lauren Kelley (Fort Worth, Texas) had seven kills. 

The Ladies will remain on the road this weekend as they travel to California to participate in the Cal Lu Fornia Invitational, hosted by Cal Lutheran in Los Angeles. Centenary will play two matches on Friday, Sept. 6 and a pair of matches on Sept. 7. The Ladies welcome St. Thomas to the Gold Dome on Saturday, Sept. 14 for their home opener in a match set for 5 p.m. Go Ladies! #CTheOpportunity
