Hey Centenary Ladies fans, this is Kendall Sanders with my first Gym talk!
Last week, your Ladies ended strong in the gym going into Thanksgiving break. The Ladies hit the skills they needed before departing to their family and friends for some turkey and fun!
A few fun things we did over break included senior Mackenzie Packer getting to go to California and visiting Bodega Bay. She got the opportunity to eat at a cafe that got burned down in the old thriller movie "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. Our freshman Xian Baumgartner got to go home for the first time since August! She enjoyed going to the river of lights, eating her favorite New Mexican food, and seeing some hot air balloons. I was able to see all the improvements my little Gym girls have made which was a real treat.
Just because it was a break didn't stop these Ladies from being in the gym. Freshman Kendall Knaps was able to add a fourth mat to her new double Arabian dismount.
The Ladies are ready to hit it hard these next couple weeks before finals. We are continuing to push ourselves to get those last skills and clean up routines as our first meet is approaching. We are thankful and blessed we got to spend time with our family and for the team that has now become family! It's time to buckle down and start showing what we know!
