DENVER – The Gents Soccer team scored early in the second half to take a 1-0 lead, but the Wildcats quickly answered on a penalty kick and scored the golden goal shortly after the start of overtime as Centenary (2-14-2, 0-13-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Johnson & Wales (6-8-1, 4-8-1 SCAC) 2-1 in OT Sunday afternoon, October 21.

In the 47th minute, junior Gabe Rodriguez took a free kick, which bounced off the goalie. Senior Andre Anasi cleaned up the rebound into the back of the net for his first goal of the season. However, just a minute later, Centenary was whistled for a foul in the box. The Wildcats' Emad Mohammed converted on the penalty kick for the equalizer.
