BREVARD, N.C. - After successful broadcasts at two football games and one basketball doubleheader this season, local television network WMYA My40 has signed on to broadcast Brevard's men's basketball game with Anderson immediately preceding one of the nation's most storied college basketball rivalries.

Brevard's men's basketball game against the Trojans on Wednesday, February 17 will be televised on WMYA My40, marking the second consecutive season that Brevard's men's program will appear twice on the network. The broadcast from Boshamer Gymnasium will begin at 7:00 p.m., with tipoff scheduled for 7:03.

The Tornados and Trojans will immediately precede the evening's Duke vs. North Carolina matchup, which will begin at 9:00 p.m. in Chapel Hill and also be televised locally on WMYA. Anderson is located within the Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson television market. It will be the first time that Brevard's opponent for a televised basketball event is located in the WMYA footprint.

Athletic Director Juan Mascaro is thankful for the continued exposure Brevard receives on the network. "To have multiple games, and multiple sports, televised each year is unprecedented coverage for Division II schools in our area," he said. "We are fortunate to have a corporate partner like Ingles Markets that's willing to make these events possible year after year. The benefit to our athletic department and our college as a whole is tremendous."

To allow for the 7:03 p.m. tipoff, the women's basketball game between Brevard and Anderson has been shifted to 4:45 p.m. The women's game will not be televised, but will be streamed online at www.bctornados.com.
